Walking With Buddha - Noble 8 Fold Path by Amy

That is the middle way, the Noble Eightfold Path, which
"gives rise to vision, gives rise to knowledge,
and leads to peace, to direct knowledge, to enlightenment, to Nibbana."

- Bhikkhu Bodhi

This week, we were honored to have dearest Amy to share with all the youths extracted teachings of the Noble Eightfold Path from a book titled “The Noble Eightfold Path” by Bhikku Bodhi. In brief, the Noble Eightfold Path are:

The first two aspects are categorised as the Wisdom aspect of the Noble 8 Fold Path

Intentions of Good-will and Intentions of harmlessness both different in its own ways but derived from the fundamental thought of wanting both others and yourself to be well and happy.

These next three aspects are categorised as the Morality aspect of the Noble 8 fold Path

RIGHT SPEECH
Avoid lying, tale-bearin, harsh speech, idle talk

RIGHT ACTION
Not to destroy life, steal or commit sexual misconduct

The last three are considered Concentration aspect of the Noble 8 Fold Path

Here is a summary video of Amy providing an overview on how the Noble 8 Fold Paths are interrested to one another.

After the session, we had dinner prepared by our dearest friend Mr Mao Mao, Jian Yong and Fu Zhong. Through coordinated effort, some of the youth helped in various areas as you can see in the pictures.
