The Singapore Buddhist
Mission’s youth group, SBM Youth, is established in 1997. Today, it is one of
the country’s most active and enduring Buddhist youth group. SBM Youth is a
fellowship of young and vibrant Buddhists aged 13 to 30 years old. The youth
group organizes a wide variety of activities that seek to balance spiritual
pursuits with youthful living. SBM Youth is guided by Venerable Dr. Bodhi, who
serves as the spiritual advisor of the group.
Our youth group spiritual advisor is Venerable Dr. Bodhi of Bao Kwang Fo Tang.
Our parent body, the Singapore Buddhist Mission, was established in November 1981 and was initiated by the late Venerable Dr. K Sri Dhammananda Nayaka Thera. The Mission's Chief Religious Advisor now is Venerable Dr. K. Anuruddha, former Vice-Chancellor of Sri Lanka's Buddhist and Pali University and now a lecturer at Hong Kong University. The Mission's Chief Resident Monk is Venerable K. Dhammika.
