What do you want to be in 5 years' time?

Aspirations, everyone has them, regardless of whether they're realistic, or unrealistic. But on Saturday, everyone shared about what they wanted to do in 5 years' time.

We'd people like Ivan and XiaoBai, who want to be pilots;
FuZhong, who wants to be a policeman;
Vicky, who wants to be a Buddhist musician, as well as to save the world;
HangQi, who wants to be a businessman;
CherngShing, Felicia and I who'd want to further our education in the early childhood sectors;
Amy, who wants to be an anchorwoman;
ZeMing, who wants to do research to develop early-detection devices;
JianYong, who wants to be an entrepreneur, selling Buddhist-related stuff.
There're also potential film makers among us, we've got ZhenYu and ShiXiong.

No matter what each of our aspirations were, most of them came about, cause we wanted to help others. Some of them came about, cause we wanted to bring happiness to others. Some of them came about, cause we wanted to spread the Dharma to more people.
But most importantly, it came about cause everyone of us were interested in whatever we aspire to be.

And each aspiration provides the context to work hard towards the goal, to study hard for the goal.

Knowing what each of us want to do, we can support one another, and look out for one another. Knowing what we want to do, we can always pass on whatever information that we think would be of help.

Venerable Bodhi said this:
"Know what you really want to do in life, what you want from life. And no matter what your occupation is, don't let it get into your head. Find out the reason behind you making money. There's nothing wrong with earning money. It's how you go about doing it.

Most importantly, behind high ideals, there're spiritual dreams to realise as well."

Now knowing what we want to do in life, career-wise, why not start thinking what we want to do in five years' time, spiritually.
Let's work hard towards realising each of our spiritual aspirations together :D
