Sri Lankan Theravada, Korean Mahayana and Tibetan Vajrayana. (L-R)It's great to be a Buddhist in Singapore because of the opportunity to be exposed to all the three different traditions of Buddhism. Everyone is supportive of one another, irrespective of the schools we come from. It was a very tranquil atmosphere yesterday at the Conference when the Sangha from the three traditions (above) led us in a merit-sharing session in three different languages. It was a timely reminder that the Buddha's teachings of wisdom and compassion resonates across cultures, languages and time.
